Great Black-backed Gull |
A couple of local scarcities this morning with a single Great Black-backed Gull first thing which ended up leaving with the Herring Gulls about 11.00am and also a single Rook flew SW over the Visitors Centre. Other bits of interest were: 3 Coal Tit, 1 Chiffchaff, 2 Lesser Redpoll, 6 Jay, 1 Kestrel, 12 Song Thrush (marked increase on previous days).
The reserve was very flooded by the end of the day and the water level was still rising, resulting in the Tern and Heron Hides flooding. PLEASE BRING WELLIES IF YOU ARE PLANNING A VISIT TOMORROW.
