Brambling - Warnham LNR |
The cold spell which we have finally shaken off has produced more interest in the feeding station with well over 100 Siskin regularly around the niger seed. We also have good numbers of Lesser Redpoll, Goldfinch and Chaffinch. In previous winters Warnham has always been a reliable site to see Brambling but for the past two winters we have only had a handful of sightings so it is a real pleasure to have at least 3 birds in with the Chaffinch flock at the moment. It is a shame they always seem nervous and want to feed at the back on the feeding station but hopefully they will settle in and become a bit more tame like the Siskin and Redpoll are!
