Osprey at Warnham LNR

On Friday morning I recieved a text message from Bill alerting me to the presence of an Osprey at Warnham. It did a couple of laps of the millpond before it drew the attention of the local gull mob which pushed it off southwards.

Well done Bill on finding the bird but also for sending me a photo in difficult conditions. It was a shame it didn't hang around for everyone to see. Hopefully it will drop in again on its return to Africa in the autumn.

    That bird will be based locally. Keep a look out for further sightings. It will not be moving far at this time of the year. It is possible its the same bird as last year.
