A fantastic day on the reserve today with the discovery of no less than 17 Waxwings! Finally they seem to have filtered through from Kent and up north and Sussex seems to be getting a few, hopefully there will be more to come as at a site in Kent yesterday there was a  flock of 1200!!! Bring them on! Sadly these didn't hang around long aand were last seen flying towards Horsham Park late afternoon.

Other bits from today: 9 Pochard, 2 Coot, 4 Redwing, 4 Siskin, 2 Nuthatch, 3 Dunnock, 8 Robin, 7 Blackbird, 60+ Blue Tit, 18+ Great Tit, 2 Wren, 12+ Chaffinch, 16+ Pheasant, 25+ Moorhen, 1 Sparrowhawk (male), 2 Jay, 75+ Woodpigeon, 6 Carrion Crow, 45+ Common Gull, 280+ Herring Gull, 1800+ Blk-hd Gull, 6 Cormorant, 19 Canada Goose, 180+ Greylag Geese, 2 Great-spot Woodpecker and 1 Green Woodpecker
