Though good numbers of gulls dominate due to 85% of the millpond being frozen there was plenty around the reserve today with the following recorded: 2 Water Rail, 3 Teal, 2 Mandarin, 1 Pochard, 1 Tufted Duck, 14 Cormorant, 750+ Blk-hd Gull, 250+ Herring Gull, 10+ LBB Gull, 23 Common Gull, 3 Grey Heron, 1 Sparrowhawk, 2 Bullfinch, 6 Redwing as well as the usual mix of finches and tits.
