Spring-ing into life...

Hazel Catkin (male)

Hazel Catkin (female)

Snowdrops
There is a real feeling that spring is just around the corner at the reserves at the moment. At Warnham LNR Magpies and Herons are nest building. Mute Swans, Mallards and Tufted Duck have been seen mating and Great-spotted Woodpeckers are regulalrly heard drumming around the boardwalks.

Wildflowers have started to unveil themselves with Snowdrops, Crocus and Primrose all starting to appear and the first moths have been recorded on the reserve. The first species was the micro Agonopterix scopariella and the second was a single Early Moth.
