A busy day around the reserve with the new Heathland Bog Garden getting well underway. The Mealy Redpoll with the tick on its eye was seen at the feeding station early morning but was not seen this afternoon. Several of the Blue Tits visiting the feeders were covered in pollen...presumably from Marsh Marigold flowers. (See top picture) Lately there have a been a pair of Pied Wagtails that have taken up residence on the Tern rafts an unusual visitor for Warnham.

Other sightings included: 6 Mandarin, 6 Teal, 1 Little Egret, 3 Little Grebe, 8 Grey Heron, 29 Tufted Duck, 6 Pochard, 1 Common Buzzard, 3 Water Rail, c150 Lesser Redpoll, 30+ Siskin, 15+ Reed Bunting. 2 Grey Wagtail

2 Roe Deer, 8 Smooth Newt
