The feeling of spring was in the air today with lots of birdsong around the entire reserve. But no sign of any butterflies today which was a bit of a suprise. Highlights are listed below:

1 Gadwall (drk), 2 Pochard, 2 Mandarin, 15+ Tufted Duck, 1 Teal, 1 Little Egret, 5 Grey Heron, 2 Mute Swan, 2 GC Grebe, 1 Little Grebe, 1 Sparrowhawk, 15+ Chiffchaff, 50+ Lesser Redpoll, 15+ Siskin, 5 Reed Bunting, 4 Nuthatch and also found the first Long-tailed Tit nest of the year.
