Warnham LNR

Acleris logiana
A really hot day around the reserve led to plenty of spring/summer species being reported. Best of all was a single specimen of Acleris logiana which is a rare micro moth. (See photo above) I managed to find it whilst carrying out the final stages of the woodland ride project.

Also noted: Green-veined White, Orange-tip, Peacock, Comma, Red Admiral, Brimstone/ Orange Underwing and Twin-spotted Quaker.

On ther bird front highlights were: 1 LS Woodpecker, 4 Treecreeper, 3 Nuthatch, 2 Teal, 3 Mandarin, 3 GC Grebe, 1 Little Grebe, 1 Common Buzzard, 2 Pied Wagtail, 1 Grey Wagtail, 2 Greylag Geese, 5+ Chiffchaff and 26 Tufted Duck
