Warnham LNR - Flooding

Quite a lot of flooding around the reserve today meant much of it had to be closed off. Heron Hide was underwater, Mill Meadow was totally flooded, the sluice was belting through and sadly many of the nesting birds bore the brunt of it. Three Coot nests, one Moorhen nest and the GC Grebe nest were all washed away. Also the Mute Swan's were rapidly trying to build there nest higher right up until dusk. So here is to keeping your fingers crossed for a rain-free night.
