Warnham LNR - Autumn Migration

Spotted Flycatcher
Lots of activity this morning around the reserve with Tufted Duck numbers starting to pick up and also new in were two Little Grebes. These have not been seen since they were washed off there nest in late May due to flood water. Swallows and House Martins are a constant fixture at the moment and the pair of Grey Wagtails have returned to the sluice.

Around the bushes good numbers of Blackcap and Chiffchaff have been noted in the past few days with the odd Willow Warbler, Reed Warbler and Whitethroat. Yesterday's single Spotted Flycatcher at the Dipping Ponds had today turned into two and there were a further two in the Wet Meadow at the top of the reserve.
