The Red-crested Pochard was still present this morning and it ended up roosting on the new scrape in front of the Tern Hide which pleased myself , Tom and Ryan as we had been busy digging it! It showed really nicely in front of the hide until a Moorhen chased it off the island and it headed back to its usual spot!

Red-crested Pochard - Still present |
The title of this post has given the game away slightly but we also managed to add to our purple patch at the reserve today...
This fantastic Osprey was present from about 2.30pm until 4.10pm when it caught is second fish and headed of NW holding its catch. This is the same bird which was present last Saturday (same damaged primary) so where has it been til now?! I hope it stays around for a while as it really drew a crowd in this afternoon and showed really well when fishing.
