Warnham LNR

Orange-tip
Whilst you might imagine migration is in full swing you would be wrong! Or certainly at Warnham you would be. Very little movement today with just a single Swallow over the millpond and we are back down to just 1 Common Tern though the other might well reappear.

Bits and bobs from today: 1 Common Tern, 1 Mandarin, 3 Canada Goose, 2 Mute Swan, 12 Reed Bunting, 4 Greenfinch, 1 Bullfinch, 2 Grey Wagtail, 1 Pied Wagtail. Also of note the first of the Heron youngsters can be heard opposite Heron Hide and the Dunnock's nest now has four beautiful blue eggs.

On the butterfly front: 15+ Orange-tip (including a few females) and 1 Speckled Wood. The new butterfly ride is also nearing completion and the final works are being carried out on Monday and Tuesday.
