Campbuilding & Bushcraft at Warnham LNR

The Wardens setting up

The beginning of the fire!

The camp!

The finished article
A brilliant day at Warnham saw the start of our bushcraft events for children. As you can see above the fire was a success and the kids managed to keep it going long enough to cook dampers and marshmallows! We also all tasted Nettle Soup and most of us enjoyed it! We also had visits from a stunning Southern Hawker and a baby Frog too! The camp was eventually completed and all the kids went under for the big test...was it waterproof!? All them ended up finding that it wasn't after the infamous Warden's Bucket Test!

If you want your kids to get involved in this kind of activity we are running another event on Thursday 30th August again at Warnham LNR though places are limited and it is getting pretty full. Call 01403 215263 to book. It is £15.00 per child 10.00am to 2.00pm (8-12yrs ONLY)

  1. The age limit is not fair. As a rate payer I should be allowed to take part.
