Caddisfly - Phryganea grandis

A nice session introducing the methods of moth trapping using a variety of traps and power sources was well recieved and we even had plenty of moths! Despite the weather trying its best to put a halt to proceedings we ended up with a good mixture for us to identify. Highlights included Small Fan-foot, Cork Moth and Metzneria metzneriella all of which were first for the year. We also saw a couple of the impressive Caddisfly Phryganea grandis (See photo above).
