Red-legged Partridge at Warnham LNR ~ 3rd Site Record

Red-legged Partridge - Jo Glossop

Believe it or not Red-legged Partridge is a very rare bird at Warnham LNR despite plenty being released by local game shoots every year. Whilst I was on holiday I have recently found out that I missed the third record for Warnham! On the 9th of October Jo Glossop our recorder, managed to glimpse a bird which flushed out of the reedbed and even better somehow managed to get  a photo as it flew across the lake. When she got back to the visitors centre, Stuart was on hand to be able to confirm the identity as a Red-legged Partridge! A fantastic bird for the reserve and well done to Jo for always having her camera with her!
